Queer Tarot and other creations by RoseButch RoseButch is a queer artist from Brussels. She makes paintings, crafts, and drawings. She paints canvases on acrylic frames. Her favorite format is 2 by 3 meters. On a pink background, in a figurative style reminiscent of popular frescoes, she addresses societal themes such as violence (both symbolic and physical) against people perceived as women and to LGBTQI people, racism, the ideology of fear/safety, butch’s lesbian identity or representations of queer people. The more recent work of RoseButch focuses on the invisibility of older (lesbian) women in society, queer experiences with menopause, and tackling structures of ageism.
